Carrie Avila is an attorney and author. She started writing vampires in 2011 under the penname Caroline Hanson and has sold hundreds of thousands of books under various pennames since then. With over 30 books published in multiple languages, she believes writing saves lives and has the power to help with trauma and the difficulties of the real world. She frequently encourages random strangers and friends alike to write for an audience of one. She lives in Northern California with her two daughters and if she’s not reading or writing then she’s likely cooking or drinking coffee. Maybe at the same time!
