NaNoWriMo a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and we’re proud to be a majority community-funded charity. (Check out our Guidestar profile or download our most recent 990 form.) We are a community-centric fundraising organization. This means we ground ourselves in equity and social justice, and most importantly, we foster a sense of belonging and interdependence with donors and non-donors alike.
Our mission is to provide the structure, community, and encouragement to help people use their voices, achieve creative goals, and build new worlds—on and off the page.
