Shannon L. Monroe is a long-time participant, volunteer, and supporter of NaNoWriMo since 2007. She hosts Come Write In sessions at the UC Berkeley Library, where she received her B.A in History and spends her days in the glorious, storied halls of Doe Memorial Library as the Head of Interlibrary Lending and Duplication Services. Additionally, she co-created and co-hosted the spin-off reading series, “NaNoLitMo”, with best-selling author and NaNoWriMo Writers Board member Rachael Herron. Shannon is a published indie poet and Romance writer; and a proud Oakland native who loves traveling the world by following Pearl Jam and other bands around on tour with her chosen family.
